Concept

Features include taking and posting pet photos, following “Pals,” direct messaging, and location sharing.  Users can use the platform to find and locate their pet and make friends using the special collar that their dog wears. However, location services can also be turned on using the user's cell phone as well. 

The social features

Image Feed: 
Users can post, view, and like images of pets. Images are listed in chronological order, and clicking on the users name navigates to the corresponding profile. 

Find My Pals (Location Services):
Locations of users only in the user’s Pals List will appear on the map. This allows friends to find and meet with others for pet playdates. Users can also send their own location data to let their friends know that they’re on the way or nearby. Users can choose to hide their location data from others to maintain privacy.  

Pal’s List:
Users can see new friend requests and current friends from this list. Users can search for specific profiles, quickly adjust location notifications, and navigate to others’ profiles from here. 

Direct Messaging:
Users can have private conversations with other members on the platform to correspond about actions such as coordinating pet playdates, directly sending personal location data, or finding a pet sitter. 

Users are looking for opportunities to socialize their pet and acclimate them to city living. 

Dogs are an easy way to make friends and meet people with conversations revolving around their pet.
